Jorge Pliego  brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the global financial markets, specializing in Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets, and Derivatives. He has a distinguished track record of managing large-scale trading books and funding activities across major international and local banking institutions.

Prior to joining the Company, Jorge served as Managing Director of Finance and Markets at Fundación Dondé Banco, where he was responsible for trading, funding, and the infrastructure settlement required for developing financial products in the Fintech sector. He also founded Crassus Fund, a USA-based hedge fund with trading operations in Mexico City and Vancouver focused on stock and money markets.

Jorge spent over 15 years in leadership roles at ABN AMRO Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland México, and Accendo Banco. As Treasurer Director, he managed a multi-million dollar annual budget and led teams responsible for all local market trading, funding, and cash flow activities. His expertise includes arbitrage strategies and the structuring of complex interest rate swaps and cross-currency forwards for local corporates.

Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at top-tier investment banking franchises, including Bank of America México, where he was Head of Derivatives and FX. He also served as an FX Trader at Chase Manhattan Bank and an Analyst at Chemical Bank México. Jorge holds a degree in Actuarial Science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and is a certified AMIB Figure 5 professional.
